IGo Vision Statement

Christ's Great Commission was to teach all nations, baptize the believers, and then teach them to observe all things that Jesus had taught. The Institute for Global Opportunities envisions bringing those who desire to be involved in the Great Commission in contact with those who have had but slight, if any, opportunity to hear the Gospel.

The vision of the Institute for Global Opportunities has been born out of the desire to bring learning and ministry together. As Christians learn about God and are then able to take that learning into the highways and byways of a fallen world, they are less likely to acquire only head knowledge that has little relevance to their calling to build the Kingdom of Christ.

IGo is commenced with a vision for four tracks of ministry that may develop sequentially. The tracks are listed below.

Track #1 - IGo desires to nurture and equip missionaries with a theology and practice that brings a faith that works in love to build the church of Jesus Christ.

Track #2 - IGo plans to plant and nurture churches in the uttermost parts of the world with this same theological persuasion.

Track #3 - IGo determines to send faculty and students to Asian churches and conferences to encourage local leaders in the development of a Biblical life style and doctrine.

Track #4 - IGo anticipates providing Asian students and missionaries a setting in which to strengthen their doctrinal foundations and to develop their personal spiritual lives while living and interacting with other cultures.

Ultimately our vision is captured by this scene from Revelation 7:9, 10. "After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, and palms in their hands; And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb."
